Cape Town, Big 5 Safari, Garden Route, Sun City, 9 Days

Day 1: Cape Town

Guests are met upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport and transferred to the Park Inn Hotel in the picturesque Greenmarket Square. Surrounded by the peaks of Table Mountain on three sides and the ocean to the front. The view and sunset across the ocean is nothing short of spectacular.

The rest of the day is spent relaxing after the long journey.

During the early evening, guests are invited to a delicious Indian dinner with their hosts at the pristine Indian restaurant Bukhara and treated to welcome gifts.

Day 2: Cape Town

Breakfast will be served beneath the whispering oaks of a sanctuary garden.

The best view of Cape Town is seen from the top of Table Mountain.

The cableway was opened in 1929 and takes you to the highest point at 1085m. After all the mountaineering, lunch will be on the top of the mountain.

Guests are taken on a tour to Robben Island, one of South Africa’s world heritage sites, once home to some of South Africa’s most famous political prisoners, including Nelson Mandela.

Robben Island is one of South Africa’s most visited tourist attractions, and rightly so.

Lunch will be enjoyed at the V&A Waterfront.

After lunch we visit the Two Oceans Aquarium which is home to over 3000 species.

The late afternoon is devoted to a scenic drive through some of the picturesque areas in Cape Town.

Dinner will be at one of Cape Town’s famous restaurants.

After dinner, guests are invited to some wine, cigars and chocolate.

Day 3: Cape Town

It is off to an early start as coffee and breakfast are enjoyed in the dining area before embarking on a morning tour of Cape Town and all that this city has to offer.

Our first exciting visit will be the Seal colony in a class bottom boat, and Cape Point the South-Westernmost tip of Africa.

Then it is off to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. World-renowned since 1913 for the beauty and diversity of the Cape flora it display, and for the magnificence of its settings against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.

Groot Constantia is our next stop. Enjoy a tour of history and wine in true Cape Dutch style. Mother Nature smiled when she prepared the Constantia Valley. She bestowed on her the influence of the sun, wind, oceans and fertile soil, and then challenged her to plant vineyards and make excellent wines.

Early supper in true French style at the La Colombe Restaurant. The eatery is filled with the colors and flavors of the French countryside.

Then it’s back to the Hotel. Guests are invited to join us at Drum Café where the guests are beating the drum. A total new experience to night life.

Day 4: Oudtshoorn

Breakfast is served early and our guests are taken on the next adventure.

We will make our way to Oudtshoorn,- the feather Capital of the world.

Along the way we will stop in the picturesque coast town of Hermanus for some whale watching. The breading season for these magnificent animals is from end of July till February. As we drive along this beautiful coast we will spot them coming up for air.

Lunch will be in Swellendam.

Swellendam is a small town in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. The town is the third oldest place of European settlement in South Africa and therefore offers some fine examples of Cape Dutch architecture.

We then head for our final destination for the day – Oudtshoorn.

We will stay at the lovely Buffelsdrift Game Lodge. Dinner will be under the African sky and then we will end this beautiful day with a game drive.

Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is a sprawling game farm in the fertile Cango Valley at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains – South Africa's 6th World Heritage Site.

Lush Succulent Karoo vegetation and a 5 ha natural waterhole creates a haven for a variety of game species including: elephants, rhino and Cape buffalo (3 of the Big Five); giraffe; hippo; Cape Mountain zebra; Eland; Kudu and Springbok. Enthusiastic bird watcher's will enjoy trying to identify the more than 217 bird species to be found in the area, the ostrich of course being the easiest.

Day 5: Knysna

Wake up to the sound of a different world where Africa will leave you in ore. Breakfast will be served and then the day starts with a visit to the Ostrich Farm and even try your luck at riding one of these birds that cannot fly. We visit the Cheetah Ranch and experience the closeness of one of the world’s extinct species.

We will lunch at one of the marvelous restaurants that Knysna has to offer.

Then we are on our way back to Oudtshoorn. Where we will send the night at the beautiful Buffelsdrifft Game Lodge.

Dinner in true African style with a game drive to end this wonderful African day.

Day 6: Johannesburg / Sun City

Breakfast and then we make our way to the George Airport for our next destination.

Sun City…….

We will spend the day at this world class resort.

Light lunch will be at one of the restaurants at Sun City on the beach.

The rest of the afternoon you will have to explore this wonderful place that will take your breath away.

The kingdom of gold with a lost city and a king lost in time, waiting to be explored

We will have dinner in one of the many world famous restaurants that this City in the wild has to offer.

Day 7: Sun City

It is off to an early start as coffee and breakfast are enjoyed in the dining area before embarking onto the next stop of our African Safari.

A game drive is just the way to start your day in Africa; we will be off to the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve and will spend the day here.

Lunch will be served in true South African style out in the open air.

Dinner will be at a restaurant at Sun City

Later a night cap with sherry and the best Black Forest Cake

Day 8: Sun City

Breakfast will be enjoyed and then it is of to explore one of the most beautiful resorts on the African continent.

This Magical wonder, surrounded by the most breathtaking scenery the country has to offer.

Lunch will be at the casino.

In a setting simply described as spectacular, Sun City nestles beneath nature's magnificent Pilanesberg

for those warm African days; guests may relax at the pool or at the beach. This kingdom offers a variety of things to do.

Sundowners will be enjoyed on off the many decks overlooking the spectacular view that this spectacular destination has on display.

Where famous people come to relax – like Ernie Els, Charlize Theron, Tony Blair and the likes of them. Be part of the people that makes the world go around……………

Dinner will be at one of the many restaurants that this world class resort has to offer.

Day 9: Sun City

Last breakfast under an African sky.

The day can be spent to get those last mementoes, and we make our way back to Johannesburg International Airport. - On our way we stop at those places you can only find true African art.

Your last chance to get that special African art piece.

We go through the town of Hartebeespoort where Africa is displayed at its best

Lunch will be at one of the local restaurants on our way to Johannesburg International Airport.

This African dream adventure has come to an end and we await your next visit. The pleasure was ours to show you this wonderful and diverse country we call home.
